Soul Care Training is taught by Terry Ewing, founder of Plumbline Ministries Inc., through six powerful units. Each unit stands on its own so you can begin the journey at any time.
This unit lays the groundwork for soul care through the core principles of the Plumbline Ministries pastoral counseling model. You’ll be introduced to the tools we use most for emotional discovery, spiritual reflection, and the sacred work of writing and sharing your personal story.

Soul Care begins in the stories we come from. This unit explores how family of origin, developmental stages, and trauma shape how we relate to others and ourselves. You’ll gain tools to recognize patterns, understand parenting and family roles, and invite God’s healing into generational dynamics.

This unit begins by grounding students in the spiritual realities of warfare as a common trial of life. From there, we explore key diagnostic categories that impact individuals and families—offering insight, compassion, and clarity. The unit concludes with student-led presentations on selected topics.

This unit explores how the brain is formed, how it functions, and how prayer can transform both. You’ll engage the intersection of neuroscience and spiritual formation—discovering how connecting with God promotes healing, renewal, and lasting change.
